Thanks Dave. I've never seen a gas tank explode; however, I was expecting more of an isolated single BOOM.

I think the tank heated up, pressured up, split a seam, squirting fuel into the flames, causing more heat, pressure, another leak. After that I was looking at other stuff and laughing when the fireman showed up Just in the nick of, uhhh, no...

a reminder to check ALL your electrical connections on the bike ...

Everything was fine until the fireman got there and started squirting the extinguisher and knocked the bike over. That's what wrecked the bike, otherwise it would have just needed to be washed and waxed.

(just kidding...firemen are good people...I used to be one ;))
