I ran in to old Corbin seat that I want reupholster but this .... thing have grommets or something instead the staples and the hard part is rely hard! Hand stapler is not going through it and air stapler or how you name this thing also not going in. It seams like they drill it and grommet it. Did any one ran in to something like it and may have advise how to do reupholster on this one? :'(

Yes, Corbin uses pop rivets instead of staples.

You would need to drill the heads off the rivets, then take the old cover off, and you probably can the pull/push the shank of the rivet through the top side.

You probably can reuse the old rivet holes with your new cover, you could use an awl or ice pick to locate the holes as you install the new cover. (I don't know where you get the rivets with the large diameter heads). You can also use contact cement to help hold the cover in place while you are working on getting things stretched properly.

I've done a coupla reupholsrer projects. Another pair of hands is really good.

I've watched pros recover seats, they use hot steam to make the material more pliable (vinyl) a heat gun might do the same

Bottom part of the seat is not plastic and metal it is plywood but rely hard one and staples bounce off it. :-/

I used rubber cement to get things started.
Hold that heat gun plenty far away and approach slowly.
If staples won't go, maybe some metal strips and woodsrews?
Or maybe those upholstery washers, aluminum, waffle, receives oval heads,

Ok so I did it today!
I got some spray adhesive. Found 1/2 screws with big head (so it is not gonna go thru the material). Screw gun and several self taping screws.
Plaint peace of upholstery.
I spray adhesive to the point that foam got white. Put the material on it with now wrinkles. and started on a sides. I drill out all the rivets and use this holes. If I needed other one to get it tighter I used self taping screw to make a hole and screw with the big head to secure it. it is done now but the bottom line is it was a ...... I spend about 2 hours to do the job. And it was to complicated (I did reupholster for about 5 different bikes before that) but now it is done and I got allot of experience. And thanks to everyone :)
