Title: Bee sting vs Dog bite ???
Post by DesertRat on 04/22/16 at 06:46:11

I think a bee sting is preferable to a dog bite ...

Rat,

If you become allergic to bee stings and die from a sting we will put on your grave marker;

"I would rather die from a bee sting than be bit by a dog and live."

Barring death by bee sting possibility, I'd still say it depends if Rover really chomps you or just nips you a bit

I've turned dogs away with a well timed belch of power... bees just don't care.

I've had a run in with a fearless dog. Luckily no one (me!) was hurt! I like to think I'm smarter than a dog!

I'm Solid in the
None of the Above
category.
I've had some of each. I have had my face stitched together, either one Can kill you, I'm just not interested in either.

Same here, JoG. I'm not allergic to bees but they hurt for a few minutes and the bee dies.fair trade. If I'm bit by a dog, it goes to the farm. Harsh but fair. I'd rather avoid both, and the resulting unpleasantness.

I carry a knife with a leather fob.. I can get it out and open quick. I avoid trouble when I can. When I can't, well..

Well......I got my sting this morning.  I had a bee (or something) go down the back side of my jacket collar.  I got a couple of light stings while I was getting pulled over into a driveway, kickstand down, gloves off, jacket off.  As soon as my jacket hit the ground I could hear the bee (or something) fly away....so whatever it was - it was big enough I could hear it with my helmet still on.

I zipped my jacket all the away up, and snapped my collar for the rest of the ride!

Statistically more people die from bee stings than snake bites.

Many single car accidents over the summer months are caused by bee stings. Over the years as air conditioning in automobiles became almost universal the number of bee sting induced single car accidents has declined.

Well I dunno' about your eye Serowbot - but my neck has 1 very itchy bump on the left side, and 1 equally as itchy bump on the back just below my hair line.  They didn't feel too bad yesterday - but they sure do itch today.

I wonder how far away from the hair line Bots eye itches.

Dave,

A Benadryl will help with the itching.

Cortaid applied to the affected area should stop the itching for a couple of hours.

JOG, Gary, my friend who was hit by the deer, is alive and kicking, on a bigger bike than before, he's one of those guys who never gone to the gym, and looks out of shape, but is actually strong like Bull
Dave, your collar incident is the 2nd reason I were my 'anti redneck rag' (bandana tied round neck) if I don't, bees might get me, and the sun surely will

Art....I should consider adding that to my wardrobe.  I am mildly allergic to Bee stings.  Wasps and Hornets don't bother me as much - but a true Bee sting makes me swell like crazy.

OK....the biggest danger could be elephants!  (But not in KY).

Holy Pissed Off Pachyderm, Batman!
I knew they were strong, but I didn't know they could toss cars around like a fifth of whiskey..

But, why is he so upset?

Well, Look,,
They got the poor thing all dressed up in Gurlee stuff, then put him on parade. There's no telling what kinda insensitive things were said to him as he strolled along.

Yeah, I noticed the passengers,,
So, what would you guess that thing weighed?
Looked like a Tonka at the hands of a ticked off three year old.
