So the bike is together with new battery. We never took the starter off and when we try to start the bike it just clicks. It doesnt make a noise like it wants to turn over. Debating if its not not charged enough. Any ideas? Just trying to get on the road again

Did you take off the left side cover? If so, you may have put the spacer on the wrong shaft and locked the starter.

It is well documented and easy, but you will have to remove the side cover again to correct it. :(

Not only annoying, it LOOKS like that should be the way to go back together. But, it's not. That is a very common beartrap.

Yeh its kind of like the saying "if the shoe fits, wear it" well that spindle doesn't have a lock ring on it so you would think why put a washer on the one that does and besides it fits on this spindle so it must go there. >:(

Don't feel bad, got caught by that washer also. ;)
