Title: chirping sound?? Post by Matt_greatlakesstate on 04/19/16 at 14:40:33 2001 savage, 150main, 55pilot, jardine slipon, tensioner mod. I just got the bike out yesterday and today. After it warms up and is idling im hearing a random chirp sound coming from the muffler. Its not consistent and doesnt do it when its cold. Its really random and the bike seems to be running fine. It's definitely coming from the exhaust though. Any ideas?? Thanks

Title: Re: chirping sound?? Post by bobert_FSO on 04/19/16 at 16:07:23 Possibly a baffle in the muffler coming loose or rusting loose. I don't know how a Jardine is built, but the stock Savage muffler is famous for starting to chirp or whistle after a few years.
