Title: How does our gas tank vent? Post by DesertRat on 04/01/16 at 07:10:56 or does it? overfilled my tank a few days ago, and noticed a leak from the cap as I rounded a corner, is my gas cap gasket shot? |
Title: Re: How does our gas tank vent? Post by Dave on 04/01/16 at 07:29:02 On everything but the California bikes....the cap is vented. The CA bikes have a sealed cap and a tube that goes to a canister mounted on the muffler bracket. With our without a good gasket...the caps tend to leak if you fill the tank too full. |
Title: Re: How does our gas tank vent? Post by Kris01 on 04/01/16 at 10:58:25 I have a bad tendency to overfill the tank. Just stop filling when it reaches the bottom of the filler neck. I should listen to my own advice! :-? |
