I hit a pot hole pretty hard and apparently my left side frame cover fell off. I'm referring to the cover where the S40/LS650 logo is placed. Oddly enough there are probably three times as many right side covers than their are left side covers on eBay. My question is whether these covers are interchangeable through the years. I've got a 2006 and the cover listed is rarely a 2006. Plus the newer they are the more expensive They are. I just want a cover that fits. Even if it doesn't color match or isn't pretty.

The shape and size of the covers from any year are all the same - the paint color and script changes regularly.

The left cover is held on by 1 screw....the right cover is held on by 2 screws.

left side on mine did the same thing, there's a "tab" that slots into the cover, bend it DOWN a little more and make sure it's tight/snug to fit on when replacing, also check the FOAM pad inside add or replace as necessary. Now mine is rock solid.

Purchase used on eBay. The one's that show up here in the Market Place for sale go REALLY REALY FAST. So, unless you monitor it 24/7 I would suggest you check ebay. It took me almost a month to find the covers. ;)

they are the same I have 2 different year covers on left 2001 and right 90 each so you going to be good :)

Yep, all the same. JOG2 is right about the salvage yards. A few bucks will get you one there.

When I first started driving my gramps told me to watch for potholes. Then, I started hanging out with some older kids..
Then I saw a pothole. I stopped and looked. Someone had already been there and took the pot. It was just a hole.
