Title: Mirrors Post by 1100dan on 03/23/16 at 19:54:00 What mirrors have you guys used to replace the stock ones? I know it's personal preference, but I'm looking something that complements the looks of the savage. Thanks in advance.. |
Title: Re: Mirrors Post by Rayven on 04/20/16 at 10:04:47 I bought a pair of small low profile square black Harley mirrors, but I had to get adapters (which were like $3 for the set online) to make them fit into the stock mounts. I don't have any pictures of them... They are similar to these, but a little smaller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DAYTONA-Harley-Davidson-Short-Stem-Mirror-Square-Type-for-Right-/152054928909?hash=item23672e160d:g:9Y8AAOSw5ZBWMUYN&vxp=mtr Hope that helps! |
Title: Re: Mirrors Post by 1100dan on 04/23/16 at 14:32:27 Thanks for the replay. I know the mirror question is subjective but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. Apparently I've gotten only your response so thank you for that......anyway, I did end up ordering a set of Lowbrow custom spot mirrors. I have them on two of my other bikes and I like the less obtrusive look. The rabbit ears that came stock were a little much for me. I will have to drill and tap the mirror stems to adopt to the Savage, no big deal as I had to also.do it for the other bikes. Enjoy your bike..... |
Title: Re: Mirrors Post by Serowbot on 04/23/16 at 14:39:56 Bar-ends are about $15 on Ebay,,, good wide-angle view, not much vibration... http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt82/serowbot/b_zpswsq0n9qj.jpg |

Title: Re: Mirrors Post by Serowbot on 04/23/16 at 15:58:38 Yeah,... sorry,.. The stock bars have nasty welded in weights that won't allow the bar-ends to mount... So long ago, I forgot... :-? |
Title: Re: Mirrors Post by DesertRat on 04/23/16 at 16:08:50 yeah, that's the issue I've had for months now. Bought and returned so many bar end mirror sets, I gave up trying to find any that will fit ... |
Title: Re: Mirrors Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/23/16 at 22:36:10 Why can't the welded in weight be drilled and tapped and screw a mirror in? |
Title: Re: Mirrors Post by norm92de on 04/23/16 at 23:16:36 I've done that, it works very well. Locktite may be needed to stop them vibrating loose. By the way Serobot cool looking Zuki! :) |
