1. wash the bike
2. take it for a ride
3. check for leak again
4. follow leak UP, gravity plays tricks with finding leaks

Summarizing the above posts....the bolts that hold the footpegs on go all the way though the engine.  If they are loose the engine can weep oil, and it flows out the right side of the bolt when the bike is parked on the side stand.

Tighten the footpeg bolts, and the leak will likely go away.

You could have taken it to a dealership and spent
Who Knows what
and had a head gasket installed,,,

Yeah, it is, innit?
Just pointing out the obvious, how good this forum is and how easy so many problems are to solve.

The fact that JOG is right should make you angry! No one thinks anymore. They just do what "the book" tells them! Intuition and know-how went out the window years ago. I trust this forum more than I trust a dozen "experts" at the stealership!

I tried the Yamaha Raptor forum when I was doing the top end.
They didn't wanna answer any questions. Total buncha jerks.
I wiped the account as soon as I delivered the job. I've never seen a forum with the degree of expertise this one has. I have been to the Kawasaki ninja 250 forum. They were pretty good and, such a old design, years of the same design, so they knew stuff. I like it here..

Wouldn't if he came on a few of our trips :)....

well, he would find out we are "mature in age" much like aged whiskey or wine.

but the other mature... i'm not so sure all of use fit into that category...

and some are "borderline" responsible :) LOL  :o ;D
