Title: Wiring HELP
Post by DesertRat on 03/17/16 at 20:46:59

Anyone have pictures of WHERE the wiring is routed in under and around the air box and battery box?

Belt side was rubbing wiring and I think it was routed wrong by previous owner. Since I have the tins off for paint, I want to fix this issue

there's a clip on the back side of the bat box for the wiring in that area.
very easy to forget and just shove the box back.

Speaking from experience, you do not want them rubbing the belt.  I did a lot of head scratching on the side of the road 120 miles from home one day. Knew it had to be in the neutral / kickstand circuit and got it running again, but it could mess you up and get real expensive away from home.   Go out of your way to keep them away from the belt.

I bought it used, bike originally from Hawaii. It had been apart previously, not sure to what extent. Routing for the wiring harness is screwed up:

NEVERMIND ...

Routed wiring all by myself. I'm a big boy now.
