Sooo. A 2012 Boulevard s40 is the same as an older Savage when it comes to the motor and carburetor parts and stuff??

Yep. Only the paint was changed!  ;D

There is a 4-speed version built in the late 80's. Older models had different bars too. There's also some very minor differences but essentially the bike is unchanged from day 1.

yup... 30 years and still the same bike ... this years is the 30th Anniversary of the Suzuki Savage, first year of production - 1986 ...

I love that its old and unchanged.  sometimes old and simple is just the way to get it done.  I actually wanna work on my bike myslef.  not be reliant of a dealer or technician.  Theres nothing on this bike you cant do yourself.
