Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by old.indian on 03/10/16 at 21:04:09 Have the VIN # checked by the police. before you spend a dime.... IF it comes up as stolen, your money is gone.......No paperwork = BIG gamble for the buyer........ |
Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by savagegreenhorn7 on 03/10/16 at 21:57:32 good call, I'm probably not gonna even bother.. probably totally f***ed .. I also find it weird that he says he doesn't know if it runs? why not just try? |
Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by MMRanch on 03/10/16 at 22:36:14 GreenHorn About the only way you can hurt a savage is to run it out of oil ! Go look at it and get the vin.# If it is stolen you can help the person it was Stole from ! What if it was your bike that came up missing, you'd want some body to help find it for ya ! ;) Even if it was years later . :) Modern Day Bike Thief's are kinda like old time Horse Thief's : Hanggings -to-good for em ! >:( Low Down Scum-Suckers ! |
Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by savagegreenhorn7 on 03/10/16 at 22:38:27 good idea MMRanch, Ill reach out and see what can be done |
Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by Dave on 03/11/16 at 04:10:29 Why is it parked in a roll off dumpster? I wouldn't be surprised that this bike was found when someone was cleaning out a vacant house or garage - or it was abandoned in a storage unit. The seller may know nothing about the bikes history. |
Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by justin_o_guy2 on 03/11/16 at 04:37:50 Appears stock. So often someone to rides three times in a year, maintenance gets put off, then, won't start, and they abandon it. Check miles, tires, year, oil,, and vin of course. |

Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by jcstokes on 03/11/16 at 12:13:45 Perhaps you should buy it quick, it's very rare, it has automatic transmission, must have been developed for the California market. |
Title: Re: craigslist bike... Post by Kris01 on 03/11/16 at 12:45:06 Definitely worth looking at. I'd get a lot more info from the seller before I gave him any money though. |
