Hey guys/gals/other so I've gotten my bike to a place where I'm really digging it... however I was wondering if anyone knows of a relatively easy (not trying to build my own seat from scratch) mod or aftermarket seat that's slimmer and lower profile than the stock seat? I would prefer to keep the passenger seat as well... a king queen would be awesome but I know that's a stretch. any help at all if very much appreciated! thanks. [smiley=grin.gif]

I bought a Corbin that sounds like what you are describing. I found mine at an excellent price on "The Marketplace" last October. There are still pictures of it. if you care to look. :)

not sure exactly what you are looking for but if you haven't take a look at the build I am working on right now at this link.

you can ignore the mod to the front of the seat as that was only needed due to the new tank. The rear mod was to cut down the profile of the seat. I used the stock cover. You don't have to do the full mod that I did where I even modded the pan. I did that only because I was very picky and wanted an exact look.

When my seat cover split I decided to give it a new shape while recovering. I cut the original pan down, added gel inserts and foam then recovered in leather.

That looks good Blade. Similar to the DayTripper seat. Glad I'm not the only who doesn't like how wide and high the seat rides. I have tried to find a DayTripper that fits my 2006 without luck. Your solution looks like the solution but too much work for my lazy ass though.

I thought so too Rat, until I bit the bullet and gave it a go- then it was pretty easy. A weekend and a bit and it was done.
