Alright! It's great to see pics of bikes with their riders aboard. Gives a bit more perspective, sense of scale sort of thing. She look pretty stretched out there... nice looking bike.

I would not suffer from saddle sores on my butt. Looks like seating is more scrotum centered. I'm sure she's enjoying the ride more than I would.

She looks to be short and stocky, seeing as the sportster is a smaller bike like the thumper is....
Someone of say my stature, 5' 10" would fit nicely in that saddle.

Laid out flat, after someone walks on my back, I'm five foot six, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. And I can't picture being comfortable on it. I Do give the girl Props,

And it's a good looking bike.
If I was taller and stronger and richer, I might get excited about it.

Well that's nice, both bike and rider. Looks like there is more room in the seat for bigger framed riders.
She has a nice pair of goggles.  ;)

Some bikers like to wear wallets that are chained to their belts of belt loop to lessen the risk of loosing said wallet at say 110 on some really fast and tasty road, some just wear them to look the part
My solution is a front pocket mini wallet

here's a partial build thread for the bike:

The build was a lot more involved than I thought it would of been. Just shows that any custom work takes three times as long and twice as much as budgeted. ;)

The bikes fine, but, id like to sit down and have a beer with that gal and probably lose a game of pool.

Good looking gal and best looking HD Cafe' bike I have ever seen.

Why are her goggles on her helmet....and not over her eyes? :-?

I think they got the wheels wrong in the specs on the bike..they claim it is a 16" slotted chrome disc wheel in the back and a 21" front wheel - they both look like spoked wheels to me, and are probably 18" diameter.

Dave, that was describing the source bike, the 1200C.
This has 18" Akront rims.

Goggles are an accessory, man. They don't look as cool on the face as they do on the lid. She has perfectly serviceable D&G sunnies for eye protection  ;). Seriously, I do the same thing  :-[. I like em better up there and wear sunnies. Plus, they help stop my LAPD shorty lifting up when I'm pushing on.

Does LAPD stand for something else in Ozzieland?... :-/

Title: Re: HD cafe racer done right

Soz Bot, it's those short helmets the california police used to wear (Los Angeles Police Dept) , a half helmet thing with a peak and a zip off leather ear flap kind of thing. I have it without the ear flaps or peak (wish I hadn't lost that) and with a nice pair of Halcyon or Nannini goggles. Dunno what you guys call those lids over there but LAPD and/or Shorty fills the bill here. Don't wear it so much anymore since I got a nice Lazer Dragon streetfighter lid. But thats another story.
Anyway, It's very similar to the pudding basin the lady on the Harley is wearing, but blacker.

The early style shorty helmets are called "Pudding Bowl" or "Pudding Basin" helmets.  They tend to have a flat bottom edge - while the more modern shorty is lower in the back.

Probably for night time driving as I see they are clear and her present eye protection is shaded. ;D

I wore a chain wallet long before I started motorcycling. Mine doesn't look as good as her's, though--probably because hers is more fashion conscious.  ;)

at one time I wore a biker wallet too, but not for the look
Mine had a heavy piece of 1/4 steel in it
"whassat you say Mr knife wielding scary guy? You wany my wallet? ok" *smack!*
"Want it again?"

That's a good idea.

Title: Re: HD cafe racer done right

have to admit I stole it from someone else

Mine is just a long camo wallet with a chain to keep from losing it.

I would guess it also helps against theives.

While in college, I remember having some of the fellow dorm boys play tricks on me, trying to run off with my wallet ;D. The reaction to the chain wallet gets pretty funny ;D. I think I had at least one who knew the challenge and went for it anyway.

Makes you wonder sometimes whether some theives won't try for it just for the challenge.

Hmmm... Sounds like a good idea :) ;)

...until he actually gets the wallet and you try to take it back :(.
  ;D

...Of course, that assumes the thief is actually smart enough to immediately understand how the ninja wallet works ::)

Just make sure that the chain is strong enough to take the punishment.

I haven't had my wallet stolen but have been hassled for money and cigarettes on the train. I tell them I was just about to ask them the same thing.....

never happened
getting swatted with a hunk of 1/4" plate wrapped in leather is a pretty stout wallop, a good hit will knock a fella right the hell down
It would have been bad if it had happened though
