Title: Hot tea in frozen air...
Post by Serowbot on 12/22/15 at 15:01:38

The air temperature measured -25 and -35 degrees Celsius (or -13 degrees Fahrenheit). Markus threw the hot tea into the freezing air, which resulted in one seriously stunning image.

It's pretty uniform how far from the cup it went, even when the amount was greater, it didn't travel much more. That's neat, and the sun being unobstructed, wow.
I've seen video of boiling water thrown into freezing air,and it does interesting things.
I've also seen what idiots with hot water can accomplish when they are in a hurry and want to get the ice off the windshield real fast.

reminds me of the times the ex brother in law and I had when we pranked each other over and over one winter. Trying to one up each other.

He worked for Gulfstream, 1st shift, had a LOOONG commute very early in the morning.

I woke around midnight one frozen morning, went outside and turned on the hose. Walked around his car for a couple hours; spraying the whole thing down. Every nook and cranny. Brakes, wheels, every panel seem, grill, you name it, it got soaked then subsequently FROZEN solid.

He came out the next morning for work and found a solid block of ice. Had to hop into his beater 80's toyota pickup we used for hunting. no windows except the windshield.

;D

another time, I took his work boots and put them in ziplock bags, took them out to the front yard and put them in a depression. filled the hole with water and went back to bed.

couldn't find his boots, until he walked out onto the front porch to see the top of his boots sticking out the top of a frozen "pond"  :D

wonder if that might have something to do with him being an 'ex' brother in law  ;D

Desert Rat Fink.
He's the kinda guy who would slip a fish in a couch cushion.

I used a Vac-U-Form spider on a string, with a pin in the top of the door, so when my sister opened the door, it went up, over the door, swung down, hit her in the face. And yes, it was the bathroom door, and she stood there, screaming, trying to not pee on herself.
But, I tip my hat to you, DR, fine examples of getting someone.

I think you might be confused. You're supposed to dislike your Mother-in-law, not your Brother-in-law!

I think your brain may have made a typo!  :D

no fish in the couch cushion BUT fish scraps in a gallon zip lock under his car seat in the winter. Didn't start stinking until the car heated up  ;)

When I was contracting for the DOD a couple years back, the young airmen were quite the pranksters.
More often than not, it was over their CAC (computer access cards) which doubled as their ID card.
A lot of them would leave the card in a computer when they left the area for a short period of time (big NO NO) and their cohorts would be obligated to teach them a lesson.
Most cards were taped to beams, poles and walls about 20 feet up, with no ladder in sight.
I did see a few of them frozen in a block of ice in the freezer also, but they had to stop that because guys were breaking the chips when chiseling their cards out of the ice.
::)
