Title: Spongy front brakes Post by Savageman on 12/14/15 at 22:05:46 My 2001 front brakes has a spongy feel to it. I replaced the pads with organic EBC. Should I waste my time replacing all the brake fluid with DOT 4 or 5? |

Title: Re: Spongy front brakes Post by Rodger on 12/15/15 at 05:55:29 Concerning DOT5 brake fluid, back in 2001, one of my soldiers had clutch problems with his Ford Bronco II. He got some DOT5 from the Army maintenance shop and topped off the clutch master cylinder....and it ruined the seals in both master & slave cylinder. Had to replace the clutch spring on my 1500 Nomad this past Spring, so took the opportunity to replace the DOT4 in front & rear brakes and the "juice clutch." Seemed to make both braking and clutch operation better. |
