Title: strong winds, oh what a joy! Post by springman on 11/25/15 at 08:22:28 Rode my bike to work today, about 32 miles each way. I checked the weather for precipitation but not for wind. I should have checked for wind. I was on the HOV when the winds got so bad that I actually thought something was wrong with the rear wheel. I pulled over, got off the bike and checked it all out. Solid as can be. Yep it was the wind alright. I kept the speed to 60-65 and and slowed a bit more on the overpasses and made sure I was in the middle of the road as it was that much worse on the overpasses. Other than that, cool I finally got to ride a bit. ;D |

Title: Re: strong winds, oh what a joy! Post by springman on 11/25/15 at 16:20:57 Well, just got home. Much nicer ride this evening. Art, it wasn't so much fighting to keep a relaxed grip, it was just a matter of the wind deciding what part of the road I was going to be on, regardless of where I wanted to be. It was a learning experience. ;D |
