Title: Shut yer  Pi hole, and chew on this.

Pi shows up in nature. If you'll measure a river ,"as the crow flies  ", then again, taking all the actual distance the water travels, and play with those numbers, a number very close to Pi shows up.
Now, someone is saying that they are seeing it buried down in some neat, newish stuff.
Why do I care? I dunno, after I got outta the A.F., and realized that I couldn't do math for diddly, I started practicing figuring percentages, doing addition, multiplication, in my head. And played with prime numbers on paper, and have forever been frustrated by higher math, starting with algebra,  but trigonometry was like a fun class,
Anyway, I like science. I think it's fair to say that every mechanic is a scientist. But,not all scientists are mechanics.

JOG,

I'm about like you with math except that with regular math, I'm fine. I'm even fine with some algebra.  Everybody said trig was rough and, like you, I thought it was a great fun class...easy A.  Hated geometry. Nobody could tell you why something was or was not, only that some guy a few hundred years ago thought it this way and that's all there is to it.

Pi is a physical constant so I have no doubt you can find it all over if you look hard enough.

Here's a formula I learned a long time ago for finding Pi:

Pi = 3 + (4 / (2*3*4)) - (4 / (4*5*6)) + (4 / (6*7*8)) - (4 / (8*9*10))....

The formula takes a long time to figure out. You'd need a computer to do it for you if you wanted to know Pi to the umpteenth digit. However, it does work if you're patient enough!  ;)

Pie, 3.14.....................etc

Shows up in a Lot of, 'nature', things.
A LOT !

So is:  3.14....  a, 'Creation', thing, or a, 'Evolution', thing, or a, 'Science' thing?

Is it something that will be explained when we have official, contact, with, 'Extraterrestrial', life forms?

Is it something we will, 'just know', after were are dead?

A very interesting point to Ponder.

On a similar theme, Mandelbrots/fractals I find fascinating;

Yeah, I don't understand the rules, but I like fractals.
There is another math toy I know the rules, but can't name,  AHH, Fer,
Fibonacci,, finally..
And I played around with the golden ratio stuff.

Fractals are mathturbation... :-?...

what about zero..
if I have one apple and multiply it by zero I have no apple :-?

Well, Pi is a radical number, and sometimes I consider my self a bit radical.... especially when I ride my Ninja... so I did this...
