There is a Movie Premier for Hitting the Apex, it is November 17th and there were 11 seats left when I purchased my tickets this morning.

It is a movie that follows 6 riders on the Moto GP circuit. There is a Movie Trailer and a map so you can find screenings in your area by using the following link:

Well, as of lately, bumping and kicking seem to be in style, much like the NASCAR races.
Realizing that inches count sometimes... and aggressiveness is needed to win, I still don't agree with the style of racing some of these teams are using.

I've looked for the DVD, but all I've found are version that will not play on our region 1 (USA) players.

There is a region free Blu Ray version that I think will work. As long as you've got a Blu Ray player of course.

My wife and I went with some friends and saw the movie, and I learned a lot of things about Moto GP. Valentino Rossi seems to be a genuine nice guy, and doesn't seem to let stuff bother him much. Marc Marquez is probably a nice guy too.....just a bit too pushy and aggressive and he does a lot of bumping. I never realized just how much sliding they do in the corners....the slow motion shots really showed how often they are doing 2 wheel drifts.

My wife was on the edge of her seat a lot.....she was really concerned about how dangerous the sport is.

Definitely worth seeing.

Watched it! WOW, what a ride!

As I thought the movie confirmed what I had suspected from researching MotoGP crash videos, the majority are from mechanical failure. nuts just happens. They're riding along and blamo, slide, skid and crash. Rider doing the WTF just happened dance. Sure, some are from bumping others, but, watching the SloMo confirms nuts just happens, all of a sudden sparks from a stretched chain and the rider is thrown. Crazy nuts
