The film, V for Vendetta,... turned the terrorist into the hero, and the government into the terrorist... Ant-government is popular nowadays... but, I wonder do they realize, the government the film is about, is conservative?... Originally modeled on Thacher's administration,.. but updated to model GW Bush's... Brainwashed into fighting for the rich and powerful that control them,.. and against their own right to health, wealth, and a secure retirement... ideas brought to the fore by the same folks that delivered to us the "Patriot Act" and DHS... Preemptive war, and incarceration without charge, trial, or defense... Fear the imaginary enemies, whilst the real one's rob you blind... of your money, security, health, safety, peace of mind... Orwell would be astounded... Penny for the Guy?... :-?... Happy 5th, .. Hovis... Remember, remember! I think you'll find that particular photo was in the UK , but these 'mask wearing' protesters are globally active, the USA having more protest marches organised by Anonymous than elsewhere.... just plain NO BALLS? ;) But hey, it's the Globe ! The 'Socialist Worker' is actually a publication, a publication that prints posters. An 'anarchist' (as opposed to a Socialist) doesn't pay taxes. The 'peace sign' is as much a 'vendetta' sign these days.... quite the opposite. The car was destroyed in the picture, but it was parked by its owner in a riot zone ;D and it was the police who decided to bring their animals along to the party.... |

It is 290 yards from the main entrance of New Scotland Yard, Metropolitan Police HQ and it's underground parking facility entrance in Dacre Street, less than a three minute walk away. There would be armed Police officers guarding the Justice building with real time CCTV surveillance all around. Coincidence that cameramen from Associated Newspapers were on hand to record events so far from the main demonstration. The Police were very quick on the scene to put out the fire and although the newspaper reports say it was a burnt out wreck, after a new windscreen and a polish I think it will be back on the streets within the week. The Daily Mail, amongst others, claims it was near Green Park, which is in fact north of The Mall about half a mile away, whereas this is south of the Mall. The location is probably clearly visible from the Commissioner's penthouse office on the 20th top floor of New Scotland Yard and at least half a dozen floors below." |

It was parked neatly on the pavement so as not to narrow the street whilst the Press photographs were alerted. See Reply 13. A 'zone' means an 'area', like 'war-zone' for instance. Do you need a permit to have a war in a particular zone? ::) Must be a USA thing :( The car was a set up by the police for the media (as previously said). I was suspicious that this 'protester' was quite formally dressed, was alone in the photo, body language seemed wrong, didn't seem to have much adrenaline, etc. Just looked like a posed photo.... Then I checked the address of the street in Google/G Earth, then 'Google imaged' the original photo, and lo! and behold! Reply number 13 says enough, I needn't repeat it. But as MnS says; "I think this photo says it all!!" No sir, wrong again ::) |
