on the way home from school I ran outta gas today. In moving traffic. doh. Yeah, I'm special. :D

Glad nobody runnned you over!

After a bit you will recognize that slight stumble just before it runs out completely....and you will have time to switch the petcock to reserve with barely a hiccup!

There was a semi truck behind me and a dump truck on my right, construction zone on my left, whipped in between construction poles and checked the fuel filter (clear) bone dry, flipped to reserve and cut back in traffic.

I thought it was the cold, wet weather we've had, acting up a bit.

we get great gas mileage, so I forget that we need a gas station every now and then.

yeah, I'm a special kind of special :D

Unless you forgot to switch the petcock from RES to ON. That is where you will be pushing the bike to the side of the road.

I can't say much, on mountain trips I carry a spare gallon of gas in the saddle bags.

I try to fill up every time it turns over 100 miles. Can't remember the last time I switched to reserve.

well when I was in school we called them the 'retard' buses, you know, like we feel like a retard for leaving the petcock in the 'reserve' position? ;D but that's politically incorrect now
