Title: Clutch Cover Powdercoating Question
Post by xaman on 11/02/15 at 12:38:00

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the clutch cover (right side engine cover) can be powdercoated?  Will the oven (375 degrees) ruin the oil sight glass window or sealant?

I've got some ugly engine covers and would love to have them prettied up...

Any help or experience appreciated.

Everybody that I have seen powdercoat the clutch cover has removed the sight glass prior to the baking process.

They put a replacement glass back in after the powdercoating is finished.

Somewhere on this forum....we have a part number for the new sight glass from Suzuki.

Thanks Dave. I see the part number, looks like one part, so I don't know if that comes with a gasket or ring or something...  If anyone that's done this can give some Intel I'd appreciate it.  I have a habit of hamfisting and breaking things.   ;)

What about the bolt heads?
If you consider yourself hamfisted, then you are on your way to solving that problem.
