Title: spark plug insulator question Post by Tocsik on 10/31/15 at 09:30:45 I don't know enough about the subtleties of spark plugs to know if this is a problem. Plugs are cheap so I'll replace it but was curious about the possible cause and/or problems from having this. It looks like a small piece of the insulator tip blew off the side and the area around it is a little blackened like there was a side detonation or something. Hoping any small fragments just went out the exhaust port :-/ Anyone seen this or have insight about possible problems? The bike seems to run fine. Title: Re: spark plug insulator question Post by verslagen1 on 10/31/15 at 09:50:44 take a knife and scrape around, I think you'll find that area is just a coating of residue from the gas burning off. otherwise the plug looks fine. |
