Title: Engine power?
Post by norm92de on 10/30/15 at 13:30:23

Does anybody have power information for our engine?
I understand it is about 30hp but that is all I know. Is there a proper power curve available? What is max power RPM?
30hp does not seem like much power if the peak is really 6500rpm.

Thanks.

Here's something I found a while back. I don't know how accurate it is though.

My seat of the pants feeling is around 30hp and peak power at about 5500 rpm. Maybe a little less than 30hp.

But she is a sweet little thing! :)

A lot of bike per dollar, when new of course. Even more if you are lucky enough to have found a decent used one. :)

Stock, maybe it would have been good enough. My riding abilities were coming up, since the stock Owl Snot specials had been replaced. I actually Used their treacherous feeling to help me learn the feel of an imminent low side and relearn the reflexive weight shift to change the lean angle,, MAYBE I would have been happy with it stock. But, I don't really think so. While it was no rocket, didn't wheelie out of corners, it was quick enough to make me giggle, and I had the end caps on the pegs ground nearly off. The bike Will corner, and will accelerate hard enough to have fun but not attract too much attention. With a cam, exhaust, jets, good tires, it's fast enough to be a hoot, light enough to be nimble, innocuous enough the cops don't think that you're a hooligan, and you can make it backfire like a shotgun just by putting a heel on the stand. I have Had some fun with that.

Absolute HP? Look at some of the zero to sixty times. Versy isn't a tiny guy. I'm happy with six second range stuff. Below that is just , wow,,
Decrease weight, instant acceleration.
