Title: why oh why can't we CHOOSE our passwords? Post by Art Webb on 10/16/15 at 10:04:28 as many of you know I have recently moved and am now using my phone for my internet connection this required resetting my password on Suzuki savage so that I could access it from my phone My phone can be tethered to my home computer the old password that I had for my own computer has been changed in order to allow my phone to get on the website now I can't get on from my home computer when i tether my phone because the password is different and I cannot go to password help when my computer is tethered to my phone because it doesn't recognize my ID when a tethered this would be so much simpler if I could simply select my own password to use from all devices this is very very annoying |

What app on the phone are you using to connect to SS.com? If you're using chrome to connect to SS.com, then chrome may have the password stored, and you can look it up. Using a phone for internet access should not require a new password for SS.com. |

Title: Re: why oh why can't we CHOOSE our passwords? Post by Art Webb on 10/19/15 at 07:20:22 I don't KNOW my password It's a mishmash of letters and numbers that I CAN'T possibly remember chosen for me by the site When I bought my new computer I had to reset it despite accessing SS through Chrome on both PCs And in fact had to copy-paste it to make it work Then had to reset to get on with my phone Now the password saved by Chrome is no longer valid a d the system is not cooperating with resetting I access through the browser So I can only log in via my phone Annoying |

Click on "My Center" Click "Profile" Click "Edit Profile" Enter your current password and click "Confirm Password" Fill in the "Choose New Password" and "Confirm New Password" then click "Change Profile". That's also the way you change your displayed name. |
Title: Re: why oh why can't we CHOOSE our passwords? Post by Art Webb on 10/22/15 at 19:08:30 darn, I don't know my current password when I change it, I have to copt / paste it in from the password generator if I'm on the PC, for some reason if I type it in, at least in Chrome, the system won't take it still, might try that 9means generating yet another new password) um, where's 'my center' I see no such tab |
