How do we remove the passenger foot pegs WITHOUT removing the rear wheel?  :o

You can take the passenger foot pegs off by popping the little chrome colored cover out of the head of the allen screw the peg pivots on, and removing the screw. The chrome bracket that the peg is attached to however wont come off the swingarm with the wheel on the bike. Can't get the bolt out with the tire in the way.

It might be possible to get a tool in there to hold the bolt and turn the foot peg bracket off the bolt with a big adjustable wrench, but I'm not sure. Probably easier to just go ahead and pull the wheel.

I removed mine without too much trouble.
I cut down an Allen wrench to get to the short side, the other side there is plenty of room.
Suzuki used locktite on the bolts and they were a pregnant dog to loosen. I was unable to remove one of the bolts from the bike so I put two of the shock mounting chrome nuts on the end of the bolts it looks quite nice. Better than removing the wheel.
I think the chrome nuts were about $1.50 each but they are of course a perfect match. :)

If you really don't want to pull the wheel out, you could hacksaw the head of the bolt off so it comes out the footpeg side. But it would be easier to pull the wheel out and you won't have to destroy the bolt. Taking the wheel out is a cinch.
