Title: Verslagen annual ride and tune.
Post by verslagen1 on 09/26/15 at 12:18:05

Anybody up for a quick ride (for me) up Hwy 39?

ride up hwy 39 to Falling springs for a 24 mile ride (1way)
or ride up to crystal lake for brunch, 29 miles, about an hour.
We'll be back about 10 unless we stop an eat.
Anybody who needs help with 1 thing or another can stay after and wrench.

Oct. 4th or 11th?

Due to the heat, will probably start at 8am at my place.

Do you mind if I bring non savage riders? Just need to know the level of ride it's gonna be. I have some cafe buddies that would jump on hwy 39 in a heartbeat but they are gonna run it a little harder than a cruiser guy would.

Have you decided on a date yet? This Sunday or next.

Weather has this sunday as cool with a chance of shower.
I don't see it raining much if it does.
Next sunday as 90 and no chance.

I'm ok either way, I won't be going that far.
but with cooler weather, we could start later.

You guys decide.

This Sunday works for me. Saturday I'm gonna pull the carb seems the float is sticking again. Took it for a small ride yesterday and in between at the stops I managed to get some gas in the case. Gotta drain it and change the oil and pull the carb and check the float

just checked the weather channel...
60% of thunderstorms
And the weather map for sunday shows the area with heavy rain.

I think we should go for the 11th.

Our roads are a little smoother than that, so it might be a little rough for you... especially with your back in a brace.

Don't worry, if you fly in, I'll set you up with a savage.   8-)

Is that what a Roman Road looks like?

That picture needs a caption.

If the world would conform to my ways, my path would be smooth.

I wish I could see that picture in motion. I'll bet it's a pretty smooth ride.

Precisely ! This was a humorous example by an English physicist and he proved that what really matters is how the "wheel" and the "road" actually match.

So... smooth road and round wheel? OK
Square wheel? You'll need a road shaped into precisely contoured "humps".
::)
So you'll be "humping" instead of "rolling"...
;D ;D ;D

OK, we're on for Sunday the 11th, 8am  meet up at my house.

Alternate meet at the bottom of Hwy 39 at Sierra Madre Ave.
There's a parking lot at Pepe's Tacos or a small cross street just north of the intersection.
I'll be going by around 8:30

PM me if you need any further info.

Sitting on the side of the 605 trying to figure out what keeps popping a fuse. Something is touching somewhere and I can't seem to chase it down. I have 2 spare fuses left in my pouch so hopefully I findicated the exposed wire before then!

Had to call in a tow couldn't find it. I'm at the shop now with it torn down. Has to be under the tank somewhere cause I gutted everything that was exposed. Sorry I missed it I was looking forward to hwy 39!
