Title: Replaced footpegs? 2002 Savage
Post by jajke on 09/17/15 at 14:41:51

I couldn't find a post regarding this - doesn't mean there isn't one :) - but has anybody replaced the horrendous stock footpegs with something nicer? if you did, which footpegs did you use? more than wanting to know where to buy them I would like to know which footpegs fit better. I have a 2002 Savage and want to replace the front footpegs (rear ones have already been removed and not used)
Thank you!
Jaime

I had a bent left peg when I bought my 2003. The bike had been dropped at about 15 mph which took out the rear signal stalk, the clutch perch and lever and bent the peg. I shopped for weeks and couldnt find a "drop in" replacement aftermarket set of pegs.

Finally found a guy on eBay who takes very good quality pegs and bores out the holes (and gives you a shim washer) so that they can be used on a Savage. I LOVE these pegs and they are adjustable in terms of rotation (so you can set the "flat spot" at whatever angle is comfortable). Several guys here have bought pegs from D-Z Customs and I havent heard a complaint yet.
