It was like being let out of prison when the company moved me to El Paso. Fortunately, I was a corporate pilot and was out of town most of the time, I don't think I would have stayed if I had to live in Odessa all the time. Sorry for the rant. I don't think |

I was there and in my mind twenties when they Won the murder capital of America award. I'm surprised I lived. I was so naive. I used to go to Floyd Gwynne park, alone, and look for someone to throw frisbee with. One day, three rough lookin dudes walked up, said they didn't have a problem with me, thought I was a nice guy, (they musta been watching me , cuz I never even noticed them ) but they warned me that not everyone else cared if I was nice or not. Said, you shouldn't be here... Next day some old guy was found dead,, and these guys were low rider types, but they did right by me.. |
