Title: Two questions Post by paramedic9004 on 09/03/15 at 05:53:52 I am currently performing some maintenance on the bike and I noticed that my spark plug wire is showing signs of cracking and dry rot. Additionally, I an noticing the same on the fuel line. When I removed the fuel line, it literally fell apart in my hands...How it was still functional is beyond me. Question 1 - fuel line diameter (I have nothing to compare it to) Question 2 - length of spark plug wire and any recommendation on a better replacement. Any help would be appreciated. |

With the 7MM fuel line you can use the Suzuki factory clamps that came with your cycle. A lot of guys on here get away with 5/16" ID fuel line using the proper spring clamps. I am not sure about the spark plug wire, but I would take it off and go to NAPA or your favorite auto supply store and see if the can match it. Kenny G |
Title: Re: Two questions Post by Dave on 09/03/15 at 06:39:11 I didn't know the spark plug wire could be taken off.....I thought it was molded into the coil? On the old Honda Mini-Trail coils, there is a threaded post inside and the wire is twisted onto the threads and it has an RTV sealer. You can get the old one twisted out and put in a new one...maybe this one is similar? |
