Title: Beautiful riding season
Post by kimchris1 on 08/19/15 at 07:46:34

We've had one of the most beautiful riding seasons that I can remember.
Temps in 80's, 90's most of the summer.
Even Spring was warmer and drier than usual.
For once I am actually hoping rain comes in abundance
and soon. That is not something I usually hope for but
then again it isn't that often were so dry here.
I have been riding back to forth to work, 50 mile commute
as well as to friends place as well as around the surrounding
area.
Shadow now has almost 5,000 more miles on him than when I got him.
No problems and he keeps me smiling daily..
I just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope your all enjoying some
nice riding time as well.. Hugs everyone, kim, Genie and Shadow  :-* :-*

Hiya kim. Hasn't stopped raining here in about 6 weeks. I'm tired of it.

The riding weather here as changed, and the 90 degrees stuff has faded away.  Mornings are in the low 60's,  and daytime highs are in the high 70's/low 80's.  Perfect!

The only problem is you better not leave your bike outside at night.....or that seat is going to have a heavy layer of dew on it the next morning.

Well most nights I throw the cover over Shadow.
I do keep a towel in the saddlebags or close by
for the mornings that the seat does need a little
drying off..
Our 90's+ days seem to have given away to high
70's and 80's which make still make for some very
nice riding days...
Our state is in dire straits for rain. So many fires around
and again as much as I will miss these beautiful warm days
we really could use some rain....

we've been so dry, ponds are very low, yards look like hay, but in thirty six hours we got 3.25". I doubt that will lift the burn ban, but its a good start.
Hardly ran the AC today.

Last night with house windows open it got really cool.......not kicking off the blankets these days.

There was a Bard Owl really close to the house who was pretty vocal last night, I love hearing them call back and forth to each other.

Low in lower 50's on ride in to work this a.m
Nice and warmer on ride home.
Smoky as seems the wind is bringing some of
the smoke over from Eastern Wa from the
forest fires there.
Special thanks and prayers for all the firefighters..
