Title: Extended swingarm and engine noise
Post by Dominic Thibault on 08/12/15 at 11:47:42

Hi i'm new in the savage family so, i have few question.

Is it possible to extend the swingarm without chain conversion ?

secondly, i remove the engine of the frame, he have 20 000km but he make a knocking noise, it's as if the chain knocking on the housing. I don't know if i should bring it to a motor shop for rebuilt ? What should i do first ?

thanks

yes, but there are only a couple of belts that are slightly longer.  So you'd be very limited in the amount that you can extend.

There are a lot of could be's.  You'll need to be more explicit on where the noise is coming from.  Otherwise you'll be tearing down the whole engine when it could be a headlight rattle.

for the swingarms the basis of my question is that I would like a wider rear tire, what's the best way to reach my goal ?

For the engine i will open it and take some pics, for now all my savage is in loose parts, i began my project

thank you

I didn't know I was talking to someone from so far away.
I'll try to avoid the redneck expressions.
