I have cards that have miles.... but i don't have the "usage" to get spending points for the hotel stays.
This was actually something the wife and I had thought about after our son was old enough to leave home and I retired out of the air force.
We were going to buy things on sale to get points, and then craiglist them or ebay them to make money to pay for the purchases and put the extra into a "spending" account, LOL... we never started because I got a job.

They buy dollar coins,pay the debt,get miles, debt free,,amazing, not for me thanks, but, I applaud the energy and devotion and ingenuity...
He found a way to have what he wants. Couldn't give that life to me.
