It was 101 degrees F today in Spring, Texas at around 2 pm. My wife asked me if I was going to go for a ride. With heavy heart I answered. No, it is just too hot.

I did ride to the gym earlier in the morning and it was probably already low to mid 90's at the time. Probably not going to be riding much in the next few weeks.

It's been around 95 degrees over here in Florida with a humidity over 60%. I was up in the loft of my shop and felt like I was in a pressure cooker. No riding right now, rain starts late morning and goes all afternoon. :(

We've had some hot days here in Easter NC as well. Make it to the 100*'s a few times. Lately it's just been in the upper 90*'s but the humidity is sky high. Heat index was 105* + all week. Finally cooled down a little toward the end, getting ready for a thunderstorm now. I rode about 40 miles round trip this morning to a prayer breakfast, went fishing after that, and weedeated and mowed yard. I was ready for my shower after that.

Dropped into the mid-90's here, but the humidity went up to 50%...

I had to load up and move two couches...
I made my own humidity... :-?...

Come back dry heat,.. come back... 8-)...

90 + 80% here today.
Did another, ground blind, deer/turkey 'hide'.
(Free Wood, Old Fence boards)

Anyway, was SOAKING WET, decided, time to quit.
Had to get some more amber fluid, (MN, LS Closed on Sun)
So went to town.
Always wear a helmet,
(My head is hard, but not harder than the pavement)
But, this was a Very Rare time, I didn't do leather jacket & Gloves.

By the time I got to town, I was DRY,
however the money I pulled out of my wallet,
was, Not !

So, Serow, Prescott AZ is having some Terribly rainy Storms,
Is any of that in the Tucson area ?

Was in AJO AZ, Last week of July, 1st week Aug, once,
and 120 is STILL, 120,,, don't Care that is is 'dry' LOLOL

93 /48%,feels like 100, forecast for tomorrow,102, with the humidity, sposeta feel like 110. I did get the radiator fan off the Taurus mounted on the backhoe, but no matter how wet the clothes are, it's just too much for me. I roughnecked with guys older than I am in West Texas... Now I know how tough those old guys were.

I guess it's hot and humid all over now. Some of you guys are just tougher than me. Not only did I not ride much today, but I also did not do things I should have done (3 cars that need some work). I was an indoor lazy bum today. ;D ;D ;D

hot here in central alabama, but still spent a few hours on the riding mower staying on top of the grass (and weeds). all done, so now i can chill out for a week or so. still have the tiller to repair, but that is 'shade' work. 8-)

I'm considering a water tank to allow a small amount of moisture in the air from the fan. But I was wearing a loose long sleeve over a T, and I dumped water on myself, but I still didn't make thirty minutes.

It got within a couple of degree's from the hundred degree mark and we have been having alot of those. Fortunately in Oregon we do not have much humidity. Thank God! I rode across the states once on my Savage and my first experience with it was I hit Illinois and it was like 95 degrees. At every light I stopped at, the sweat was just running off my chin onto my tank and I was soaked! It takes alot to make me sweat.. Not sure how you can handle that. I guess you get used to it but all it made me want to do is go to sleep. Here, you might not even sweat until it reaches 90 or higher. And we are surrounded by lots of rivers and the cool Ocean breeze even 90miles away from Portland keeps the humidity down.

Drink water. Heat stroke is not funny. I TOLD that guy to drink water, but ooohhh no, he was TUFF ,he can handle it. His legs cramped, then, all over, we dialled 911,,, he drinks Lots of water now. Dunno if it's true, but I heard you have a heat stroke and you're never as able to tolerate heat.
Insufficient water is CLAIMED to be associated with lots of chronic disease.

Mid to High 90's here with 60-80% humidity for the last few weeks.
Makes me not want to eat and want to sleep. You just go outside for a few minutes and you sweat...don't have to do anything.

I make sure I always have plenty to drink. Don't ride as much except in the evening and night. Have to watch out for deer and o'possums.

Everybody take care during the heat. Get plenty to drink. Don't do too much without a break to cool down some.

I know folks will think this is BS, but it's true
over 99 wind chill works in reverse. if you have a longer ride and not a lot of red lights you'll actually be cooler in leather, gloved up, full face helmet (of course you'll bake at long lights) it keeps the wind off of you
I didn't believe it either, 'till I actually tried it myself
still gotta hydrate though, hot is hot

Well, it is going to be cooler today. It is only supposed to get to 97 with a heat index of 111. I don't know what the heat index was yesterday.

Like Justin says, drink water and stay hydrated. Be safe and thump on. 8-)

Watch Lawrence of Arabia... see how they dress. I wear long sleeves and a t shirt and a hunk of t shirt over the head, down to the shoulders, everything wet.. the guys on the drilling rigs I worked on thought I was nuts.. I was a lot cooler than they were..

I have a variation of that T shirt trick: I put the Tee on, then pull it part of the way back off, so the neck hole is around my hairline, sleeves hanging down the sides of my face, tail down the back Works great off the bike, but you need the wind blocked when it's 100+
LOA didn't have a full face helmet ;D (or any helmet, or leathers, IIRC) :o
