Title: and yet another hobby
Post by Pine on 06/29/15 at 07:59:16

My wife has been involved in Girl Scouts for over a decade, and still going strong. One of the things she enjoys and has become very proficient at is kayaking. So yesterday we bought a pair of them.  Hers will get more use, as she can put in at the girl scout camp just about anytime. Me ... abit less.. However, mine does have fishing pole holders and the Bream are bedding!

Any hints.. tips.. advice appreciated!

PS; its a sit in.. not sit on. Bought at Dicks on sale.

Best advice I can give is to always remember this: "The surest way to ruin a great day of catching lots of fish is to start keeping 'em".

If not, styrofoam coolers float, if you don't load them too heavy  ;D
life jackets are a good idea

Yes, a good cooler (full of beer) is a terrible thing to waste.
Always put a life jacket (or inner tube) on your cooler.
Wouldn't want it to tip over now would we.

8-)

If you have beer and a kayak and youre fishing, you'll wanna go with the taperline setup. Get your float, sinker and hook on. Cut the line just above the hook, fine sandpaper, pinch, pull down the line. SMOOTH, you want it slick. Nothing messes up leaning back, sippin a brew, like some fool fish latchin on and yankin yer bobber down. I'm hoping its wide and flat enough..pole holders dont come on white water models,, youl do fine..
