Normally, I don't post this kind of stuff.  But, I also cruise CL once in a while it see if there is something I can't do without.

I wouldn't buy this, but it sure is purty!!!

Wow.  That's a real work of art.  Love the tank and recessed fuel gauge.
Really nice dry weather bike.  ;D

From the advertisement.

This is hands down the most Bad Ass Suzuki Savage you're likely to ever see...Period.

That is absolutely, without a doubt, probably one of the lamest proclamations of certainty that I've seen. Maybe.

It IS a striking example of the breed. I wouldn't want it unless it had a front fender and the exhaust not louder than the Supertrapp. And I want handle bars, , but I Totally dig that front end, and the tank, how they did the motor, dang, its sharp.

I like riding too much to own butt-jewelery,... but... it makes ya' kinda' proud, that many custom builders are turning to the Savage as a platform...

Nice job,... (it almost makes the head covers look tolerable, but not quite)...
...(should'a ditched 'em)... ;D...

Izat an oil cooler down in front or just something he threw in there?

I don't seen any plumbing hooked into the oil ports where the connection would have to be made....so I would guess it is just a chin spoiler with some mesh in the middle.

It is a cool bike, and one that does appear to be ridden.  Too many of these show bikes just aren't capable of being actually used, and to me they are pretty much worthless if you can't ride them for a couple hundred miles on a nice cool summer evening.

it's a cool bike, or rater it's cool butt jewelry, but, 'cafe bobber? um, no, those are two mutually exclusive things, get your ship straight, guys
Sorry, but that sort of thing bugs me, it's like calling a hopped up Chevelle  a 'sports - muscle car'

I wanna know what it sounds like with a 2" exhaust off the head tht looks to be straight thru. I have a similar setup that's 1 3/4 from the head and with a small amount of baffling it's still really loud.

This makes me sad in a way. With all the one off work done on this bike under 9k was the best they felt they could get. I'm sure there's that much in parts and labor alone not including the price of the original bike.

People who don't have experience cutting, grinding, fitting, they really can't grasp the amount of time something like that takes.

Just the wheels alone are a bit over 2k depending on size and who you buy them from. Add in rotors and hardware and your looking at over 2500 just in the wheels. The price kills me. There had to of been some sponsored or donated items on that bike to have an 8900 asking price and atleast break even.

I've looked into that recessed fuel sight gauge. There's a company on eBay that sells them for 60 bucks in straight or curved applications. Now that I've seen it I'm gonna do it for sure.

There had to be parts donated  for the project, because the parts cost alone would be well above the asking price.  Not to mention the considerable labor time involved to do something like this.  Then there is the cost of the bike itself to begin the project.

yeah, reality is that is way too low , but, if I had to buy the parts, fab stuff up, really, LOOK at the ribs in the fender, you can't order that out of a catalog... REALLY, what is a number that would just break even?

I've built stuff,, and getting proper fit, shape, its incredibly time consuming,
The air intake, that circle in the frame, the perforated stuff, all the little details, I can't guess at the man hours.

Well, they're selling it on CL, and they might not have a lot of name recognition
This actually could be a promotional build, to get their name out there and bring in customers for customization
you fellas that have built customs for sale know it's very rare to find a buyer who will pay what you put into a bike if the bike wasn't the buyer's idea to begin with
In fact if you don't have a name 'customizing' a bike reduces it's value in most people's eyes
Just the nature of the game
