Title: New Rear Turn Signals
Post by savagerider87 on 06/16/15 at 04:38:39

Im looking for a set of good DOT legal rear signals that are low profile( not as large and long as the stock ones.) I was thinking GSXR signals, but they too seem large.... Anyone have suggestions like a Honda or Kawasaki ninja etc.?

Good for you.....it is hard to find a set of aftermarket turn signals that are bright enough to be seen in the daylight/sunshine.  There are some good LED units - however the cheap $ 15 a pair turn signals from China are not bright enough to be seen in the daylight.

Currently I don't know which ones you can adapt well - but stop in the dealers and look around and see what is available (or the local cruise-in bike nights at Quaker Steak and Lube).  The sport bike turn signals will most likely be smaller than the cruiser style lights - and there are plenty of squids that take them off and sell them on eBay cheaply.  You will most likely have to adapt the mounts to make them work on the Savage.

K&S Turn Signals are DOT approved and are much smaller.  You cannot buy directly from them - but once you know the part number you want you can search for a seller.

I typed K&S 25-7002 into Google and got this.  You can click on the K&S part numbers and find out which one are black/chrome, etc.

No.....if you use LED turn signals you need to change the flasher module to an electronic one.
