Title: Motorcycle Ramp (not for jumping)
Post by stewmills on 06/10/15 at 07:24:16

For the first time next weekend, I will be hauling my bike to the Dragon in the back of my truck. I have a tool box but think I can still get the bike in safely at an angle with the tailgate staying open ans strap it down as vertical as possible as to not wrench it down on the kickstand and break something.

I have a 'loading dock' build into a terraced hill at home to load up, but don't have a ramp to take it off when I get there, and don't want to waste $$ on something I'll use once a year.

Have you folks built a temporary ramp out of 2x8, etc. that worked ok with an assistant helping you roll he bike off the truck safely?

Pics of your handywork?

I am very creative and handy and have an idea, just curious what you have tried that maybe was a BAD idea so I don't have an accident.

Thanks!  ;)

if you were going to the Dragon proper the Dragon Lodge has an unload ramp.

Thanks.  I'll probably take a board just in case, but certain when i get there, there will be plenty of folks available to help a little guy out one way or another.

If loading is easy enough to backup in the pickup, it might make unloading at a
Less than perfect
spot easier.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. I'd hate to see you drop it coming down the ramp backwards.

Does it hurt worse than forward?
If you put two boards together to make it wide enough nail boards across the bottom.
