I will be attempting to do repairs to my bike from now on. My bud the mechanic got the bike working ( and looking ) the way I wanted.

Now Im commiting to keeping up the maint.. and repairs when they come up.

What I am missing is tools, I am finding out. So far I have my travel kit which includes :

Open end and box end wrench set 8mm-13mm
small Vise grip
small cresent wrench
6 way screwdriver
Small flahslight,
metric allen key set

For the shop so far have gotten.

Feeler gauges set
Bike stand
Impact Srewdriver set ( its a 3/8 drive do they make a JIS to fit it? )
Torque wrench ( only goes to 180lb )
32mm Socket
17mm x 19mm offset Box end Wrench ( needed offset 17 for loosening the strut to remove belt guard, is there any other spots that need a offset? )

Guess Im buying tools as I need them, other tools already had just listed the ones bought that didnt have. Any suggestions of tools that could be needed? Im thinking next tap die set.

You definitely need a JIS screwdriver kit.

And you can get the more expensive kit that has an impact screwdriver with the large head size. (I bought this one and I really like it).

I've had great success with grinding the tip of #2 Phillips till the X fills the slot.
I don't do that to any other than the replacement type tips for magnetic screwdrivers.
The battery powered impact/screwdriver sets with the current battery, lithium ion?
They are great.. Last a long time on a charge.
And a handheld impact, like Harbor Freight has.
I hadda take mine apart and fine tune its ramps. A dremmel and a stone..
These are tools that I look at as essential. I'm unable to comprehend having any vehicle and not having such, but to have a bike and no compressor for tires? Naaah, gotta get something, and the handheld impact, Ohh yeah, the hammer strike sets the tip into the screw. No need for smashing, just swift tapping.
