This guy was naked, but not invisible.

I saw that video on the 'net earlier.  The self important puke in the beamer didn't seem to care if he killed the biker or not.... My feelings are that he should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.  >:(

I do agree...

Cell phone use/texting is not appropriate while driving.  Last night I saw a man in his SUV with his wife in the passenger seat and son in the child seat pull out into the intersection and make a left turn onto the highway...and the whole time he was looking at his cell phone and pushing buttons....and occasionally glancing up to look out the windshield.

And....this "Road Rage encounter" is a good example of why you should not make any attempt to play "dodge-em" with a car or truck.  If the driver does something stoopid....you will most likely come out the loser.  If the driver does something aggressive - it is best to just back off and live to ride another day.  It might feel a bit lame - but a bike is not an adequate tool for any kind of pushing or shoving against a car or truck.  Hopefully law enforcement will start to make stops and issue tickets in an aggressive way for those distracted drivers.

Look at this, which just occurred in Dallas. Didn't involve a bike, just two rude, aggressive drivers... and a handgun.

It ain't worth it, folks. You have to pick your battles in this world, and who gets to cut who off is not a matter worth dying for.

"Ayres said the problem started at a red light in West Hollywood, where he saw a nearby driver on his phone.

"It's not an acceptable thing to do. It's against the law," said Ayres, who admits he could have phrased things better. But he said that doesn't excuse what happened next.

"It's not my fault that he decided to lose his mind and drive like a crazy person," he said.

Ayres said as he drove on, the motorist tailed him, driving erratically. Ayres tried to get out of the way, but he said the driver swerved right into him at La Cienega and Santa Monica boulevards.

The VIDEO:  https://www.yahoo.com/autos/s/driver-runs-motorcyclist-yells-stop-205458513.html

He starts with Verbal assault.  He then illegally enters the crosswalk to block the driver's path.  The driver does a quick "beep" saying "Dude!  You are illegally in my path."  He gets more into his way.

When riding I generally stay in my lane.  Sometime, if in a hurry, or if it is a quarter mile line of cars, I'll filter to the front.  The purpose of filtering is to go fast.  I stay behind the limit line, on the line.  When the light goes green I go quickly, and choose which of the two lanes are slower.  If a motorcycle is going to go fast, they better be go fast.

Sam didn't want to go fast.  He sat at the green, his thumb up his ass for three seconds.  When he finally moves, he goes as fast as a 50cc scooter.  He sits in the left lane blocking traffic.

The car driver was behind the biker because biker was expected to move, or at least move to the right lane, the slow lane, the lane he is required to be if he is going to go slow.  The driver did not "drive like a crazy person," "driving erratically," and mostly Sam Ayres did not tried to get out of the way.

At that point the driver realizes that the biker is one of those criminal bikers that attack drivers, same as the ones in New York and others you can see on Youtube with bikers physically attacking drivers.  The only way to get away from a criminal biker is to knock them down so they cannot go after you.

I watched a guy, I knew he was rollin that stop sign, looking down at the phone, texting, I changed lanes, he took a right, right next to me..I looked at him, sweetly, coff, I hollered at him to get off the phone. He didn't.
At the next stop light I was in front of him. Seconds after I was stopped I was at his Locked door, politely suggesting he lay that vcfbghbmvjhr phone down before he killed someone.
I got away from him after that. Time to enjoy the ride.
