Title: Tea leaves.....
Post by raydawg on 05/08/15 at 03:55:03

Can the elections in Britain be any indicator as to what the mindset of voters are, liberal vs. conservatives, in general?

I have to the conclusion polls are not reliable, given the results there, and our last midterm.

Oh, one thing about how the results don't echo the outcome....
I always believed as computers became more availble the medias enflunce would diminish...... A real total recall [ch128522]
Personally I know I have read things and said to myself, oh wow, only to quickly goggle the stories claim to find it not a true representation, but spin.
I have found both parties and supporting media having exercised this deception.

I think the days of press power and ability to steer the stories of coverage are about done. A very good thing in my opine, as I believe they capitalize big time on sowing dissentition

exit polls AND election results lead me to believe that we need to return to eyeballs counting the votes.

Not sure if you jest or agree buddy......

I better elaborate before I assume  :-*

I believe most reporting is prejudiced, it is our nature, and in someways, we believe we benefit if we can persuade others to our beliefs.

If I have a belief about someone, and a report backs that assumption, I feel I've been validated in my belief. Have I really learned anything?
No....
I was really looking only to find "news" that fit in my cup, not news that fed my intellect.
So, when I find a story that "proves my theory" like JOG  :-*
Instead of swallowing it whole as gospel, I will take the points of arguments and type them into the browser bar and see what kind of hits I get on that data.
I have debunked myself many times using this technique, darn it  ;D

Hey Bot, can you fry an egg on your bikes seat yet  :P

Weird weather... We had no winter,.. 70's and 80's all through,... we've bumped into the 90's for a few days so far, but yesterday was 75'...
No 100's yet...
...but, they will come...  they always come... :P...
I will put my faux-fur seat cover on,.. (sounds counter-intuitive, but it really cools the seat)... :-/...

Goggle was a spelling joke that nobody got... but it does seem a more appropriate name for something that involves searching...
Goggle... Google...
Tomayto... Tomahto...

Eyeball counting the votes are even more susceptible to dirtball practices, what we need is a system that can't be subverted

Without a 'head-count', 1 person = 1 vote, Proportional Representation in an election, democracy is a farce.

For example, in the UK in 1983 the Liberals got over 25% of the votes....but this gave them only 3.5% of the seats in Parliament.
And the British seem 'proud' of their 'democracy'. What a joke it really is.

PS. The last Liberal government elected in the UK was not even in living history (unless we have Savage-riders that are over 110 years old)

Can we be honest?

If you lump pollsters, MSM, and academia as a whole, they appear to skew the results of THEIR findings to jive with their agenda.

Pollsters love "close ones" as it assures their stream of cash.

Ever notice how GW predictions always bear left?

Social issues?

Remember the forecast of RWW assassinating Obama?

Never happened.

Watch and see what the left does if a repub is elected to the oval office.

Once again it will be fair game, even patriotic according to Hillary, to voice discord and to demonstrate your displeasures.

Why do we never see the right rioting and demonstrating their unhappiness in the system??

Bundy was a shoe-salesman whose only crime was to be married with children  ;D

The only person that he did wrong was himself. And, BOY, did he screw himself over...
