Title: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by spearheadss on 04/30/15 at 02:48:32 This took some work. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/30/15 at 06:00:30 So many thoughts come to mind. Needs, priorities, car was almost free, who knows? AND it proves that not all rednecks drive pickups. Or is that a pickup now.? I'm so confused... |

Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/30/15 at 07:51:13 Went to school with twin brothers. The Lee boys. So much alike that they had the same ideas. I believe that they would appreciate the complete irreverence for a car and the sacrificing of it to carry a bike. Frank and Earnest Lee, fine lads,, |

A what? In KY nothing is inspected.......however you might cause an officer to initiate a "surprise inspection" if he doesn't like what he sees! :o |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Arnold on 04/30/15 at 10:38:54 Pennsylvania plate on the pickup though, they require inspection. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by old_rider on 04/30/15 at 19:55:10 I would say i'm speechless.... but I would be lying... I have too much to say about that...but momma always said "if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all".... so..... ;) |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Art Webb on 04/30/15 at 21:46:48 Believe it or not, that would pass in Texas, so long as the exhaust / brakes are not hacked up |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by gizzo on 04/30/15 at 23:29:32 Is that actually chopped or is it just a hatchback with sliding sunroof and the hatch removed? Either way, I like it and applaud the creativity. :D |

It is definitely hacked in the bumper area and where the back of the trunk used to be......and even a hatchback with a sunroof would have a piece of roof where the hinges mount between the rear hatch and the sunroof. I believe there is silver duct tape covering the rough edges where the roof used to be. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Arnold on 05/01/15 at 06:56:11 I like that he's confident enough to be on the left lane. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by HondaLavis on 05/01/15 at 12:06:27 This wouldn't be legal in any inspection state because he's missing the 3rd brake light - the one in the rear window. I don't think he cares, though. ::) |

what rear window? and I don't think trucks are required to have that. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Art Webb on 05/01/15 at 12:33:12 Texas does not require the 3rd brake light, last I checked (and that wasn't long ago) |

He could always rig the bike up to use its brake light also. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/01/15 at 16:03:56 If the stock setup had a third light, I'd expect the state would not pass it. Using the bikes light! Great answer.. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Art Webb on 05/02/15 at 07:31:35 You'd be wrong on that JOG, in the Tx driver's handbook, it tells you what equipment your cars must have to be legal third brake light is not required neither is a windsheild, though your wipers must work ;D I laughed my butt off over that, when I went to class to be certified as a State inspector Farm plates allow you to delete you catalyst legally, too |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/02/15 at 18:53:10 neither is a windsheild, though your wipers must work That one I knew,, ohh, how it pains me to be part of a state that is so ridiculous. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Drestakil on 05/03/15 at 06:07:07 You wouldn't do that to a car unless you planned on transporting the bike a lot. In which case, why not just ride the bike? |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by savskad on 05/03/15 at 09:24:33 That's a Civic...you can find those things for $1000, running, off craigslist. That's what I did, it wouldn't be a total loss if the memories made moving it like that were good enough. ;D |

I've been riding Street bikes for 8 years now...since I was 15 years old... I don't think I'm a squid :-? However...I do like going fast, and I would haul my bike if I was going on a long trip, because anytime I go on a long trip, the wife is bound to come, and while she enjoys riding, she doesn't like rides much longer than a 100 or so miles on the bike. I can't blame her, the passenger seat is tiny. I need to buy a butty buddy. |
Title: Re: Who needs a truck to haul your motorcycle Post by Art Webb on 05/03/15 at 16:45:56 Savscad you rode with youzguys, and didn't splatter yourself across the road, so you actually know how to ride on roads that turn a lot, you;re not a squid |
