Wed June 10th - MMRanch staging visitors from the far West.
Thur June 11th -
Fri June 12th - Pack up and head to Blue Ridge Campground Oldfeller and Dave already there by cabin #4
Sat June 13th -
Sun June 14th -
Mon June 15th -
Tue June 16th -
Wed June 17th - Pack up and head home.

This is a slow safe and sedate cruise through the NC and Tennessee Mountains, checking out the scenery and having a nice safe and sedate time doing it. MM Ranch will be your cruise director on this year's trip, with Lancer, Verslagen and Dave along to keep it all properly moderate.

Go to the sticky on top of the Cafe marked "Dragon Run #1" and leave a message saying what days you will be attending.

Please do this soon, so we can plan appropriately ......

Well this is a bit misleading of a Subject Line. Not all of us will admit to being old, and there actually is no requirement that you are of retirement age to attend.

It is a nice enjoyable place to visit, to ride, and to relax. You can ride at whatever pace you like.....we spread out a bit and just wait for everyone to bunch back up at the next intersection.

This is something I'd love to do...but its 661 miles from home - over 10 hours of driving. I would need to find someone to travel with.

I am really lucky to be within 5 hours drive of the Tail of the Dragon!

We have been talking about riding in other locations....what is halfway between NJ and KY?

Over the last few decades (or more) I've read dozens of stories in Car and Driver about their "midwestern proving grounds" - Hocking Hills, OH - about 50miles SE of Columbus. A Car and Driver map is below. That is still 460 miles...might as well go a little further.

Of course The Tail of the Dragon is legendary and I WILL have to ride it at some point in my life...and I ain't getting any younger.

There, we are dignified riders behaving in a decorous fashion.

Dave does not admit to having gray hair yet, nor does MM (although it is going going ....)

The rest of us are dignified pale heads and proud of it.

But we are always Safety Minded dignified decorous riders who will show you interesting rides every day and good fun by the fire at night.

There is no vacation you can get that is NEAR this good for $30-$40 a day meals included.

Gary, there really isn't a better time than now -- you get a few years older and it gets less and less likely to fill out all your bucket list items.

Who wants to share a truck with Gary coming down from NY?
