Title: Rubber mounting engine Post by Tony from tdot on 04/19/15 at 18:13:32 Hello all....been having some great weather up in the Dot, finally been able to take my girl out for a spin. And one thing is for sure.....she vibrates like theres no tomorrow!! Then I got thinking....why isnt it rubber mounted to the frame? Anyone have any ideas as a way to add some rubber between all the mounts to soften it up abit? |

Title: Re: Rubber mounting engine Post by Dave on 04/19/15 at 19:40:52 The engine has a counterbalancing shaft......and it doesn't vibrate bad at all for a big single. If yours does...something is wrong. As Jog suggested.....loose mounting bolts can allow the bike to vibrate more than normal. |

Title: Re: Rubber mounting engine Post by Tony from tdot on 04/21/15 at 15:21:36 actually that reminds me.....it vibrates enough that I DO get shaky eyesight at certain rpm ranges, and no, I usually don't cruise over reeving the engine |
Title: Re: Rubber mounting engine Post by Gary_in_NJ on 04/21/15 at 19:24:14 Compared to my FZ6 or SV650, it's an ass hammer. But it's no worse then other big bore air cooled singles I've owned (GN400, XR400, TS400). |
