Juicy Guzzi? Everyone knows they should have been in the test.

JOG 2 before I returned to motorcycling, there was a workmate who had lots of riding experience on many brands. He brought a Guzzi and also brought a raft of mysterious, undefinable electrical misfortunes, worse than those created by the well known British Prince of Darkness. In the end he gave up as the machine had defied the best efforts of amateur and professional mechanic alike. I'm very content with the Suzuki listing and so far it seems, in my case, to be correct.

A friend of my uncle bought a Can Am, and the fuel injection continually failed from the first day he drove it home.  He kept taking it back to the dealer, they got tired of seeing him but never got it fixed.  He finally got an attorney and made them take the bike back under the lemon law and give him his money back.  They turned a first time rider into a "never buy another one" fellow.

I know other folks who have good luck with the Can Am....but this one never did run correctly for more than a few hours at a time.

I had zero hassles with my Guzzi.

Gotta love the german joke at the beginning  ;D

But really, Jap-bikes are most reliable, Euro-bikes most needy, and, oh....Canada...  :'(

I rented a Can-Am once while on vacation. In the 10 day period I had it it broke down twice prompting them to just give me another option. I went with a sportster and didn't have any issues. I've owned triumph, although it was a 67 and plagued with problems. The 1 harley I did own never had any real issues the service just broke the bank. I was young and could barely afford the bike let alone the upkeep. The Yamaha XS 650 was probably the most reliable bike I've ever owned but that was because it had an aftermarket carb on it. 4 years and nothing but fluids and brakes had to be changed.

I also have a friend with a Victory that's had nothing but electrical issues since the day he bought it.

Consumer Reports has no relationship with reality.

My '05 Yamaha with an I-4 600 bought in July '08 with 1162 miles now has over 62,000 with zero problems. I don't count having to change the 8-year-old battery as a problem. In the shop once at 51,000 to adjust valves and sync carbs. Valves were within tolerance. It even paid for itself in gas savings! 60+ mpg! My XS650 Special never had a problem, either.

Haven't had a problem with my Suzuki in the 600 miles I've had it, so I can agree with the survey.  :)

Back when I had a Chevrolet Beretta GT, it was a nice car with a V-6 and it was pretty nice.

I happen to see a Consumer Reports that had car recommendations.  In the size Car I had it recommended that you buy the BMW, and called my Beretta a "typical rental car".

At that point I realized that they may be out of touch with what goes on in the real world.  Well....not all of us could afford a $ 30,000 BMW!

My mum loved her Pinto -- no one tailgated her in case it exploded.
