Anyone pull off the top and bottom shrouds from the RYCA shocks?

I would think they would look more like the old 70s shocks without them rather than sportster shocks...... :P

I took them off stock shocks.
they were bent and pretty rusty.
so I used a racheting tie down looped it thru the coils on both sides and around the bottom.
tightened it up till the tins were loose then cut them off with a pair of tin snips.

I removed the bottom cap...I can email a pic if you like.
