Title: Earplugs hurt...
Post by Serowbot on 03/12/15 at 09:33:33

They do me anyway...
These don't hurt... They don't  go  into your earhole, they just cover it...
Much more comfortable... (probably more sanitary too)...

Mack's Pillow Soft Earplugs ... $4 for 6 pair at WallyWorld...

Their is a, molded, ear plug. Which is very comfortable.
Widely used by Trap/Skeet shooters.
At almost any large (above) shoot, their will be someone or a booth, doing this. Cost 25-35 bucks.

Or you can buy the materiel. It is in two pieces,
15-25 bucks
You clean your ear. Then work the two materials together,
then insert into you ear. Do not talk, chew gum, just sit still for 5-10 min.
(read, watch tv)  It will get hard.
Now you have a set of plugs,  molded, for YOUR ears,  which fit perfectly.

Look in Gun shops. On line or brick and motor.

Thanks for the tip, bot. I found myself at the local Walmart this afternoon and decided to pick up a set. While I was standing there in the Pharmacy section reading the directions on the box, a rather large young lady was on her cell phone relating in more detail than I needed to know and at a volume level that could be heard clearly for aisles and aisles, how she had an infection in a rather personal area. She was there to get something for the itch. I almost opened the box and tried out the ear plugs on the spot.

Back on point, I tried them out when I got home and they seem to be very comfortable. If the weather holds, I will give them a road test tomorrow. Lord knows these Goldwings with standard pipes sound like a....a....Honda Civic. The wind noise gets annoying, though.

Again, thanks for the tip.

Well,  'test' it first.
See if it, 'Sticks',  to your skin.   ;D

The, 'shooting', 'molded', earplugs, end up,
'Soft',  not real soft, but soft enough.

There are foam ones you can buy, too, you roll them between your fingers, spindling them, then put them in your ear, where they expand to form fit
they were good enough for working in a box making workhouse, should be cool on a moto
