Title: Forks tech question
Post by Moto Duck on 03/08/15 at 17:13:00

I have my forks nearly completely torn down.  Can anybody tell me how to remove the stopper rings from the sliders (lowers)?  I've removed the retaining clips but there seems to be no way to pull the rings without damaging them.  I have the Clymer manual and on page 272 it just says to remove them, but not how to remove them.  Thanks!

you're trying to get the lower off?
just slide the two apart till it hits the stop.
keep doing it till it comes apart.

Thanks.  I was wondering if that was right or not, but didn't want to risk damaging anything.
