If my bike seems to like the larger pilot and main jets is it possible that lowering the needle a couple of washes compared to nothing over the clip ??

If you lower the neddle it leans the bike out

Yes , thanks !  but will it help to smooth out the pull from 4500 to 5500 rpm . there's a small hesitation just after 4 grand with no spacers ?

That sounds like the rpm is a bit high for the needle......but it really depends on where you have the throttle.
