Title: shuts down when hot.
Post by rayce on 02/17/15 at 15:19:27

Hey guys I have an 08 s40. The problem I'm having is when the bike gets warmed up it starts running really rough and then dies. It won't start until the bike is cooled down. Please help. I replaced the stock fuel petcock with the raptor660 one and it still has the same problem.

how warmed up is it?
how many miles?
how long have you been riding?

did you plug the vac line?

How long ago?

I let It idle for a couple of minutes and then around the block a couple of times and then it happens, 10 minutes total. I had the same problem with the stock fuel petcock. But yes I plugged off the vacuum line.

You may just have the idle speed set too low...
A lopey idle not only has a tendency to die,.. it will ruin the cam journals and tappets with low oil pressure...
